How To Let Go Of Fear And Start Living Your Own Life


Many times, we want to go out and accomplish goals, but we are afraid of change. We are afraid of letting go of what we know in exchange for something new, that we might take a while to adapt to. Sometimes we want to live our lives in a way that is different from what our parents want for us, and that is not a bad thing. It just means that you see life differently, and at some point, you need to break away and be able to live your own life.

It’s not necessarily an easy task to accomplish. Letting go and moving on can be very difficult, especially if we feel pressure. Sometimes people who love us can manipulate us into thinking they way they do, and if we don’t agree then we are painted as being “wrong” or “bad.” We are not, though. We simply want different things and we deserve to live our lives the way we want.

Here are five ways you can start living your own life today. These are small steps that will take you in the right direction.

1. Ask yourself what you really want.

The first step to making any kind of move forward in your life and to create the life you want, you need to ask yourself what it is you really want. Where do you want to go for your career? What is your dream job? Do you want to have a family one day? You need to sit and think about what you want, aside from all the things the people around you want. Maybe your parents want you to get married but you don’t want to. Ask what it is that makes YOUR heart happy.

2. Create a vision board.

One of the best ways to start drawing energy to your dreams and helping them manifest into reality is to use visualization. Taking the time to put together a vision board takes all of your energy and attention, and without you even knowing it, you are bringing a ton of good energy and using the law of attraction to make this a reality. When the universe knows you REALLY want something, it works to help make it comes true. Bring out the old mags and some glue and scissors, its time to get crafty!

3. Take time to meditate every day.

Mediation is another way to help clear your mind and figure out what you want. You can also meditate and visualize what it is you want in life, and help draw it to you using the law of attraction. It is great for your overall health and well-being, and can also help bring you closer to your dreams! Start with just a few minutes each day, and if you really like it, you can up the amount of time you spend doing it.

4. Talk about the moves you want to make.

Talking about what you want out loud makes it all the more real. Sure, when you think about your goals, they sound great, but they can also seem a bit fantastical at times. When you say them out loud, it makes it more practical and mentally helps you prepare for the moves you need to make. Instead of thinking “I would love to move to NYC,” approach is it “I am going to move to NYC.” You will see the difference.

5. Let go of guilt.

There are definitely going to be times where you will feel guilty for wanting something different than your friends and family want for you. They might even try and make you feel bad of guilty for going after what you want, but stay true to yourself and your own happiness and it will all work out in the end. Don’t worry about the guilt, and let it go.
